Founder and CEO Steven Kennedy is excited to announce the launch of our Prepared Dad Program during the weekend sunrise program, which offers free training and resources for new dads. This initiative aims to provide valuable antenatal education and essential tips for first-time dads on how to support my pregnant partner, especially for those who are saying, 'I'm going to be a dad.'
Our free, online, peer-led antenatal education and ongoing peer support are transforming the lives of expectant fathers and their families.
The Prepared Dad Foundation was established in 2020 to address the often-overlooked challenges faced by first-time fathers during the transition to parenthood.
Inspired by the founder’s personal experience of a difficult and isolating journey into fatherhood, the foundation aims to empower dads with the knowledge, confidence, and support they need to thrive in their vital perinatal role.
The foundation’s mission is to create a movement that normalizes and celebrates active father involvement during childbirth and across the perinatal period, fostering stronger families and healthier communities.
Central to this mission is the Prepared Dad Program, a revolutionary online education initiative that provides free training and resources for new dads. This program equips first-time fathers with practical tools, emotional preparation, and a supportive community.
Through three interactive, expert-led sessions, dads learn how to support their pregnant partner, bond with their babies, and embrace the journey of being a dad with confidence, gaining valuable tips for first-time dads along the way.
