Bereaved Dads' Brotherhood

Founded by the Prepared Dad Foundation and 4Louis, charities based on opposite sides of the world.  The Bereaved Dads' Brotherhood is a collaboration that brings together fathers from diverse locations and  backgrounds.

Our mission is to provide unwavering peer and professional support to bereaved fathers who have experienced the heartache of child loss. We understand the pain that knows no boundaries and the need for a global community of understanding and healing.  

In the face of unimaginable loss, the Bereaved Dads' Brotherhood is as a beacon of hope, a collaborative effort uniting two compassionate charities.

The Bereaved Dads' Brotherhood is a support network for fathers who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy, infant or child. The Brotherhood aims to provide community, understanding, compassion, and healing for bereaved fathers worldwide.

Code of Conduct

1. Respect and Empathy:  We value and respect each member of our community. We commit to showing empathy, understanding, and consideration towards one another, acknowledging the unique experiences and emotions related to loss.

2. Confidentiality:  What is shared within the Brotherhood stays within the Brotherhood. We prioritise confidentiality and respect the privacy of our members. We do not share personal information or stories without explicit consent.

3. Inclusivity and Diversity:  We embrace diversity in all its forms and welcome individuals from various backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. Discrimination, prejudice, or exclusion of any kind will not be tolerated within our community.

4. Supportive Engagement:  We encourage active participation and supportive engagement within the brotherhood but also respect silent witnessing. Constructive dialogue, sharing of experiences, and offering support to fellow members are essential aspects of our interactions.

5. Compassionate Communication:  We commit to communicating respectfully and compassionately.

6. Mutual Respect for Boundaries:  We recognize and honour personal boundaries. We respect others’ decisions to engage or disengage from discussions.

7. Professional and Ethical Behaviour:  Our interactions are guided by professionalism and ethical conduct.

8. Constructive Feedback:  We welcome constructive feedback and suggestions to improve our community. Feedback is given in a respectful and helpful manner, aiming to enhance the overall experience for everyone.

9. Reporting Concerns:  If any member observes behaviour that goes against this Code of Conduct or makes them feel uncomfortable, they are encouraged to report it to the community moderators or administrators promptly.
